'Cats Play Hard But Can't Tame Toronto Dingos @ Humber in Round #2

After a good week on the training track the Wildcats headed up to Toronto to take on the much improved Dingoes, whom had managed to pull a few more aussies onto their list during the off season.
The first quarter started out well, and the 'Cats definitely came to play, kicking the first goal of the game. For the rest of the first half the game was played rough and hard, with the likes of Plugger and Killer in the last line of defence were holding strong yet again to restrict the scoring of the Dingoes. To add to this, newcomer Chris Frey was playing well off the forward flank, along with experienced players of Settle, Hilly, Nolan playing well down the centre corridor.
During the third quarter Luke "Maino" Main managed to get himself a yellow card, meaning that the Wildcats were a man down for the remainder of the quarter. To their credit, the Cats stuck it out and didn't allow the Dingoes to run away with it. Also during the third term best on ground Justin Settle sustained a heavy knock to his back during a ruck contest which forced him to play down in the forward line for the last part of the game, and his absence really showed.
The 'Cats were fired up in the last quarter and withim 3 kicks of Toronto. This was their last effort being blown apart by a much fitter Dingo midfield that carved apart the defence which allowed them to run on with the game.
The final score was in no way any indicarion of how hard the boys fought throughout the day. A far better game was played than that of the previous week.
The 'Cats are looking down the barrel of a tough game again this week coming up against the undefeated 'Roos. Lets hope the 'Cats hit the trackhard this week and give it their all for their first home game of the year this Saturday!
